British politics is on it’s knees
What is going on that a political candidate representing the 3rd most popular party currently is refused entry to a hustings eveny a week ahead of the Rochdale by-election.
This is not how democracy works. It is not a situation we should tolerate. Everyone should be outraged about this. Regardless of the party you support, whether you are for or against. That is irrelevant. If one party can be silenced during the election process then any party, any candidate can be silenced in the future.
Democracy is fragile, if we don’t protect it, defend it, then it will collapse, it will crumble.
